Check out what the CCO Kids are saying about their experiences with us
Committed Christian Outdoors was an amazing experience for me. I was able to have the privilege of shooting my very first deer with CCO. It has opened doors to many friendships and memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life. I enjoy the times that we learn the word of God before we go out on a hunt. I have been blessed to be able to hunt and embrace God's word at the same time. Committed Christian Outdoors is truly an experience I will never forget.

Hello my name is Jaeanna Lucas and I’m 10 years old. CCO has been apart of my life since I moved back to Georgia a little over two years ago. CCO has taught me so much about God and how he died on the cross for our sins and how to have a committed relationship with him. CCO is really fun you get to shoot guns and get a opportunity to shoot your first deer. You get to go fishing, squirrel hunting, dove hunting, and much more. Here is a little story that happened to me. It started like this. One morning on January 5th I was invited to go hunt on some land for a deer. When me and Mr. Mike Mincey were on the way to our stand there was a doe out eating. So we sat that whole morning and did not see anything else. So we went to go eat lunch and when we were done with lunch we went back out to our stand. It was about 530 when a big 9 pointer walked out so I got my gun ready and I shot. The deer did not take another step. After we got my deer we celebrated. I am so thankful for CCO because it gave me the opportunity to shoot my first buck!
My name is Trenton Elsey and on November 24, 2018 I was able to go hunting with Committed Christian Outdoors. This was the second time I was able to go with them. We sat for a little while in the blind and did not see anything. Just as we were about to leave for lunch, a buck came out. I was so nervous because I have never shot a deer by myself before. Jimmy was in the blind with me and he was awesome. He was whispering to me what to do and to wait for the deer to turn so I could get a good shot. I was shaking a little because I knew I really wanted to get that deer. When he said NOW, I squeezed the trigger and he said “you got him!!!” My heart was beating so fast. I was so excited. At first we could not find the deer but we knew I had shot him. Robert and some others came over to help us look for the deer and we finally found him. I was so pumped. There was my deer on the ground. We took some pictures of me with the deer. We dragged the deer out of the woods and loaded it into Roberts truck. We went to go get the deer processed and now I have a freezer full of meat for my family and I’m very proud everytime we eat dinner with my deer meat. I had a lot of fun hunting and I can’t wait until next year when I can go again with CCO. I’m very grateful for CCO because without them I wouldn’t be able to hunt.
My name is Hayden Slaughter I am very grateful for Mr. Robert giving me the opportunity to hunt with God on my mind. God has always been apart of my life but Mr. Robert and all of the CCO volunteers have really help me learn everything is God's will. Not only was Mr. Robert there for me when I took my first deer, he was and still is there for me through life.
Mr. Robert has provided me with every hunting opportunity I could ask for. He was there when I took my first deer. Unfortunately it was a doe, but last season I took my first buck. It was only a 3 pointer, but there will be plenty of opportunities in the future.
To sum this all up, I can't thank Mr. Robert, CCO, and all the guides for a fun, safe, Christian hunting environment
My name is Chi Anderson and I’m going to tell you about the time I shot my first buck. So I’m sitting there in the stand and I hear something huge out in front of me. But I didn’t see anything, so I looked behind me and see this huge 10pt buck. I had to change my position to aim at the deer and get a shot. Eventually I got my scope on the deer. So I breathe and take the shot, POW!! The buck goes running down the hill and I am SHAKING, because I’m so excited. I get a call from Mr. Robert and he comes to the stand with a few other hunters and we begin the search. We didn’t find much blood but we did find the deer laying there dead. I was so happy that night! I remember that night sitting in the stand praying a whole lot that I would get my first buck and God answered my prayers!
CLAYS HUNTING EXPERIENCE...My experience with Mr. Robert while we were hunting was awesome but before I talk about that I want to talk about what he taught me. He awlways said pray out loud, pray about everything, and ask, believe, expect! He also told me to read these three verses Proverbs 16:3,Jeremiah29:11-13,and Matthew7:7-8 and those verses change my life what they talk about is how he has plans for our lives and no matter what we have to commit to him.I am so thankful that he gave this bible because i can always look back to when we went hunting and the devotion he did.Now lets get in to the hunting. This was my first serious time hunting before and he said before we even started "be patient " over and over again and i thought to myself "oh this is going to be easy, we are going to shoot a deer within the first hour" but that wsnt the case.We went out for the first time and we had been sitting there for about 30 minutes and i noticed his eyes were closed and i thought he was sleeping and he told me he was praying and so i started praying too.Well we sat out there for about 3 to 4 hours and we still didnt see anything gabe and chase had already shot something and so we all went back to the camp and took theres to be processed and then we went back out to hunt and like before we prayed real hard and nothing happened and we were out there for another 2 and a half hours and we were about to leave in about 15 minutes and then we saw about 4 deer down this really open path and so i shot the the first which was a doe and then 2 minutes later a buck walks out and i shot it but i didnt know it was a buck until we walked down there it was so amazing because robert had this look in his eye and i knew he was genually proud of me.We cleaned them and took them to the processor and a few weeks later Mr Robert brought me this awesome scrap book of my first hunting experience. So i loved the hunting trip and i hope other kids would want to join and have the same awesome experience that I had.
Chase Watson shares what CCO means to him.
Chi Anderson shares what he enjoys about CCO.
The first time I heard about CCO I had no idea what my dad was talking about,But when I figured out what CCO was all about I was very glad to be a part of it. One thing I really like about CCO is the fact that is god related and it's actually a big part of my life. Another thing I like about it is the devotions that we did every day during lunch. Finally I also was very thankful that I could also work on some of my school work and tell people about CCO. So I thank every one at CCO helping me get closer to god and also help me shoot my two first deer.
CCO has taught me a lot of things. Not only has CCO taught me about hunting, but it has taught me more about god. I have had some of the best experiences in my life with CCO. CCO has become such a big part of my life. I got my first and second deer with CCO. CCO has brought me so much closer to god. I enjoy going to the meetings on Monday nights and having our lessons. Going to those meetings has also helped me to get better at shooting a bow. Without CCO, I might not have known how to do a lot of these things, experience a lot of these things, and I might not be this close to god.
My name is Caleb Worthington and I am 13 years old. CCO has gave me and other young people the opportunity to hunt, fish and enjoy the outdoors. I want to thank Mr. Robert for putting together this organization to help young people!!!!!
